VAYANA VARAM & CLUB INAUGURATIONS





The following week from the 19th of June was celebrated as the 'Reading week' in memory of the great malayalam writer sri. P.N. Panikkar who worked for the betterment of the language. 19th was celebrated as the reading day and the reading week was inaugurated by one of the famous malayalam writer Sri. Madhusoodhanan Sir. He gave a super class and an awareness to the young generation about the importance of reading. He also inaugurated the various clubs. The days programme was highlighted by the wonderful skit from Santhosh Master and his crew. He encouraged our little artists by providing them with a cash prize of ₹ 1000/-.

This School has its beginnings in 1862. In 1906, the School came under the code of Regulations for European Schools. From August, 1923, the management of the School is under the Governing Body of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society of Kozhikode registered un­der the Societies Registration Act of 1860. In 1972, the School got affili­ated to the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and we continued in the I.C.S.E. Scheme till March, 1984. From March 1985, our students are answering the S.S.LC. Examination. In July 2000 the School is upgraded as Higher Secondary School. The medium of instruction in all classes is English.
