Club Inaugurations and Reading week inauguration





 

The reading week commenced on the 18th of June and went on to the 22nd June. For the reading week we had a display on the bulletin board, with literary articles, there was a reading corner, introducing books, speeches, book review and an exhibition was held with a display of famous author and parts on charts. This was done by the English, Malayalam and the Hindi language teachers.
        we had the Club inauguration. The chief guest of the day was Sri Balachandran, the director of the A.I.R.

St. Teresa's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School is an aided private Institution conducted by us, the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel who have Education as our main Apostolate. This School has its beginnings in 1862. In 1906, the School came under the code of Regulations for European Schools. From August, 1923, the management of the School is under the Governing Body of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society of Kozhikode registered un­der the Societies Registration Act of 1860. In 1972, the School got affili­ated to the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and we continued in the I.C.S.E. Scheme till March, 1984. From March 1985, our students are answering the S.S.LC. Examination. In July 2000 the School is upgraded as Higher Secondary School. The medium of instruction in all classes is English.
